On Day 10, we made the drive from Cody, Wyoming to the West Entrance of Yellowstone. Many of the popular sites in Yellowstone are close to the west entrance, so we made the drive from the east entrance near Cody to the west. The drive takes quite a long time pulling a trailer, and we stopped quite a bit for pictures and sightseeing. Just before officially entering the park, we got gas and talked with some of the gas station workers. There are so few people in the area, that their school has 2-3 students per grade! We also couldn’t believe that the only place to get gas for miles only charged $3.69 a gallon.
The admission to Yellowstone is $35 for a carload, but we opted for the annual pass at $80 that gets you in to all national parks for a full year. On our drive, we saw geysers and buffalo in addition to all of the breathtaking scenery. The pictures don’t even come close to the beauty, and it’s SO worth the drive!

We are staying at a highly recommended RV park. So many other campers we talked to said we have to stay here. It’s called the Grizzly RV Park, and it is VERY nice, but very expensive! (You get what you pay for.) it’s $192 a night, but they take 10% off for the Good Sam membership that we got free for buying our camper at Camping World, so it brings it down to $173. We ate a late dinner at The Buffalo Bar just 3 minutes from the campground. We tried Buffalo burgers (when in Rome…😁) and they were delicious!
More of Yellowstone tomorrow. It’s HUGE!!
