Day 31- Engine Lights and Dog Illness🤪

I’ve said before that every day of vacation can’t be a vacation and that real life continues… Day 31 was one of those days.

We awoke to people mowing and weed whacking around our camper. Then, we had been trying to find a place for an oil change, and we were having a difficult time. Either we had the camper, or there was a long wait, or the place looked like they would rob us… and then as we pulled out of the park, our engine light came on. We went straight to the closest oil change place which happened to be Wal-Mart – don’t tell Jim I told you…🤦‍♀️ We had to unhook the camper, and wait in 100 degrees with the dogs, for them to tell us that they could not work on our truck. They were nice enough to allow us to leave the camper there. We found another place about 10 minutes away. They changed our oil and checked everything out. They said everything looked good and that the engine light probably came on for because we needed the oil change.

Then, we drove 4 hours to Surfside, Texas,0 and the light was still on. After setting up the camper, we drove back to an AutoZone. They ran the code, and it was a fuel injection issue. They recommended a fuel injection cleaner which we bought and added while getting gas. The light is still on…ugh..We might have to find an auto shop tomorrow.

When we got home from AutoZone, we found our dog, Bear, had gotten sick all over. After a long and thorough cleaning, we had to run back out to buy him rice and pumpkin. If he’s not better in the morning, we may have to find a vet. A vet and an auto shop…🤦‍♀️

Poor Bear isn’t feeling well😫

Our RV site is just steps from the ocean, and we haven’t even made it there yet.

Hopefully, tomorrow, Day 32, will be better!!😆🤷‍♀️
