Days 34 & 35: Biloxi, Mississippi

On Day 34, we drove from Baton Rouge, Louisiana to Biloxi, Mississippi. We really liked the KOA in Baton Rouge and wished we hadn’t already reserved a park in Biloxi so we could have stayed longer. We did get an extended check out so we could do laundry before leaving. We are staying 4 nights at the Gulf Beach RV Park for $85 a night. After we arrived and set up in Biloxi, we took Zelda on a shopping spree at PetCo to cheer her up. We bought her toys, treats, and calming pills. We took her to the dog park at the RV resort to play afterwards. We ate dinner, and then went to the pool for the evening. The pool is directly next to our site, and it overlooks the ocean.

There was a large group at the pool from Louisiana, and they treated us like we were a part of their group. They were Cajun, and we enjoyed hearing their stories about catching alligators and living on the bayou. One of them had a Jack Russell named Milo, so we let Zelda play with him, and she seemed to really enjoy it.

On Day 35, we had coffee and watched church online. Afterwards, we were super excited because we FINALLY found a Planet Fitness. We went and worked out and enjoyed 3 rounds in the massage chairs!

After working out, we were starving, so we stopped at a highly recommended and visually appealing restaurant with a beach shack vibe right on the ocean named “Shaggy’s”.

The outside eating area was so cute with great views, but it was 102 degrees, so we opted to eat inside with the AC. Not as nice of a view though…

I got a Po Boy sandwich (I know…I had just worked out…🤦‍♀️🤪). It was HUGE!! I would have liked sauce of some kind on it. It was very dry, so I added some ranch, but it wasn’t the right mix with the shrimp. The fries were delicious though- crispy and hot!
