On day 39, we picked up my sister-in-law from the New Orleans Airport. Our KOA was only 12 minutes away, so it was an easy pick up.
The New Orleans KOA was nice with very nice patio furniture at each site.

We drove about 5 hours from New Orleans to Navarre, Florida. In Navarre, we met our Aunt & Uncle who live in Huntsville, Alabama. We all stayed at the Santa Rosa RV Park, right on the ocean. It’s a beautiful park with the best pool area we’ve had yet. We stayed 4 nights for $387.52.
We LOVE what we are doing, but know we need a home base. We can’t travel forever. 🤪 We “toured” some houses via FaceTime and our daughter, and we found a house we LOVED. We put in an offer of up to $25,000 over asking. Then, we had to wait…and wait…and wait. We prayed if we were meant to have it, that we would, but if it wasn’t the right house for us, please don’t let us get it. There were 7 other offers, and we found out that it wasn’t the house for us since we were outbid, so back to looking!🤦♀️
It’s SO nice to see family! We miss everyone back home so very much. My sister-in-law is going through chemo, so it’s been great for her to be able to relax at the pool right by the ocean, and we have loved spending time with her and our Aunt and Uncle. We have been trading cooking meals with our Aunt and Uncle, and we’ve had amazing meals. My favorite was their low country shrimp boil which also included crab from the area.
We spent most of our time just chatting in the pool. The real feel was 110 degrees, and it was SO hot. We often had the pool all to ourselves.

The campground also has a lot of other common areas decorated very well that add great ambiance.

They have a dog park and a dog beach too. Zelda loved the dog park and going for walks. The dog beach was always covered with the tide when we went by, so she didn’t get to try it. The birds enjoyed it though.

The last night, we went out to eat at Andy Ds Seafood. We had a delicious meal and possibly the nicest waitress we’ve ever had. We stopped on the way back to the campground to get some pictures because the moon was absolutely beautiful.

We are leaving tomorrow morning which will be our day 43. We are heading towards family and “home”. We can’t wait to see everyone!
