Our cruise ship stopped in Cannes, France.

We really wanted to see Nice, so we booked the “Little Train” excursion through the cruise. That was a mistake! The excursion included a bus from Cannes to Nice. The bus ride was nice because we got to see the scenery, and our guide gave us a lot of good information about Cannes, Nice, and everything in between.

The problem was that once we arrived in Nice, the bus couldn’t park near the “Little Train”. So, we had to RUN after our guide for over a mile to catch the train.

We rode the train around with a headphone, prerecorded, narrated tour. Nice was absolutely beautiful! We enjoyed seeing and learning about all the sites.

BUT…after the train ride, we had only 23 minutes of free time before a one mile trek back to the bus. We, along with everyone else on the tour, were disappointed to have such a short amount of free time. We had time to order a couple of delicious crepes to go, and that was it. 😝

The train ride was informative and gave us a great overview of Nice, but we wasted so much time walking (running) to and from the bus, that it made the excursion a HUGE disappointment. Learn from us, and skip the Little Train excursion so you have time to explore Nice on your own!
