Iโm SO proud of myself! I drove! I was so scared to pull this 39 foot beast behind this giant truck, but I did it! It wasnโt that bad at all. (I did pray for an army of angels to help meโฆ๐)
We did great eating healthy in the road. We stopped at Kroger and bought bread, lunch meat, and veggie chips. Thatโs all we ate until we stopped at 8:20 pm in Geneseo, Illinois. We had gotten a late start after an Ohio/ Michigan DMV license plate fiasco on the new camper (long storyโฆ), so we didnโt even leave Michigan until 2 pm. We drove for just over 6 hours. We were able to set up the campsite in just under 20 minutes, with 20 minutes left to find a grocery store for dinner. We ran into a grocery store at 8:55 that closed at 9 pm, and grabbed pork chops. Back at the site, I blackened the pork chops, made brown rice, and baked potatoes for a delicious, healthy dinner.
We stayed at the Geneseo Campground in Geneseo, Illinois. I canโt say much about it because we only ate, slept, and left in the morning. It looks nice, and we had no issues. The pull through sites were very close together, so that was a negative. We paid $58 for a full hook up, 50 amp, pull through. We booked online, which was super easy, and they texted us our site #, so we didnโt even have to check in at the office.

We are now back on the road and in Iowa. We stopped at the โWorldโs Largest Truck Stopโ off I-80, and they had an amazing dog park. Our dogs are living their best lives in this trip!

We donโt know how far we will get today, or where we will stay. We are really intrigued about staying at a Cracker Barrel, but honestly, we are a little afraid to sleep in a parking lot? ๐คทโโ๏ธ To be continuedโฆ๐
